Chicken Chow Mein with Mange tout and Bean sprouts
Ingredients:
- 3 Chicken breasts, skinned and cubed
- 1 large Onion, sliced
- 3 cloves Garlic, chopped finely
- 200 g egg Noodles
- 200 g Bean sprouts
- 170 g Mange tout, trimmed
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder (Optional)
- 2 tbsp plain/corn Flour
- 1/2 tsp Five Spice
- 1/4 tsp Ginger powder
- 2 tbsp dark Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Olive/ Vegetable Oil
Method:
- Heat the oil in a wok and fry the chickens for 7-10 minutes until cooked.
- Add the onions, garlic and mange tout to the wok, mix and cook for 5-7 minutes until vegetables are slightly soft.
- Meanwhile, boil the noodles in salted boiling water until done. Drain and set aside.
- Add the soy sauce, five spice, ginger and chilli powder to the wok and mix well.
- Add the noodles to the wok and mix well.
- Dissolve the flour in 3 tbsp of cold water and add to the wok. Mix well and cook 3 minutes until sauce has thickened.
