Italian style Meatballs with Lamb and fresh Herbs
Ingredients:
- 400 g Lamb, minced
- 35 g Breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp fresh Basil
- 1 tsp fresh Oregano
- 1 tsp fresh Thyme
- 1/4 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 large Egg
- 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper
Method:
- Mix lamb, onion, garlic, herbs and egg together in a large ball using your hands.
- Gradually add the breadcrumbs to the lamb mixture and mix well.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and leave to chill for at least 1 hour.
- Fry meatballs in the olive oil over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Turn the meatballs around occasionally to ensure its brown all over.
- Remove the meatballs from the pan and rest on kitchen papers to absorb the excess oil.
- Serve the meatballs with basic tomato sauce and pasta.
