Chicken wings marinated in Chilli and Orange paste
Ingredients:
- 1kg Chicken wings, cut in half through the joint and trimmed
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp fresh Ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp Orange zest
- 4 Spring Onions, chopped
- 1 Chilli, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 200 ml Sesame oil
- Salt and Pepper
Method:
- Blend garlic, chilli, orange zest, ginger and spring onion in a pestle and mortar together until a paste is formed.
In a large bowl combine the honey, soy sauce and sesame oil with the paste.
- Marinate the wings with the paste and leave in the fridge overnight or for t least 3 hours.
- Cook on a hot Barbeque for 7 -8 minutes each side or until chicken is thoroughly cooked and golden brown.
