Spicy Turkey burgers with herbs and Mustard Mayo
Ingredients:
- 3 Sesame seed burger bun
- 500 g Turkey mince
- 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 3 Iceberg leaves
- 2 tbsp fresh Chive
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp dried Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp dried Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- Salt and Pepper
Mayo Dressing:
- 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 3 medium Tomatoes, de-seeded and chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh Basil, chopped
- 1 tsp Vinegar
Method:
- Combine turkey mince with herbs and spice and pepper.
- Fry crushed garlic over medium heat for 2 minutes, then mix it with turkey mixture.
- Divide and shape the mixture into 3 burgers.
- Rest the butgers for 1 hour in the fridge, then fry them over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side, until golden colour. once cooked let them rest for 5 minutes.
- To make dressing; mix mayo with tomatoes, mustard, vinegar and basil in a small bowl.
- Cut the buns and toast them lightly on their cut side, put a leaf of lettuce on each bun, followed by a dollop of mayo mixture and perch the burgers on the top.
