If you are looking for healthy and tasty recipes, then this is the book for you. Following his successful TV programme, Bill Granger went on to produce very good cooking books and Every Day is one of his finest work. There are recipes for families usually with healthy twists which i am sure is much appreciated by health conscious parents. Definitely a goof gift from Oz.

I was hooked on Martin's new cookery show 'Sweet baby James' every Wednesday. He goes around different part of UK, mainly places where he used to live or have some found memory of and tries out traditional recipes with a modern twist. Things he cooked on the programme looked amazing if a bit on the sugary and buttery side for me, nevertheless it was enough to make me go and buy his new book 'Desserts' and let me let you that it did not disappoint. The book is very detailed and easy to follow.

This is one of Jamie’s best book so far. It is more comprehensive compare to his previous books but has kept its laid back style of writing and of course mouth watering pictures. Lots of tips in the book for everything from shopping for food to cooking with carrots.

Rose Elliot’s Vegetarian meals in minutes

This is one of those books that temps you to become a vegetarian, a bit like sandwiches from the Vegan Café down the road which makes me become a vegan (for about 2 minutes though). Lots of variations with different ingredients, combinations that you wouldn’t think could taste good  eg; tomato and avocado actually works. This book is full of great ideas for healthy and quick meals.

The Kitchen diaries

If you are passionate about food and like me think about it most of the time, then this is the book for you.

Nigel is cooking everyday based on the ingredients available in the season or even left over from night before! I was given this book as a birthday present by a friend who shares the same passion for food as me and I can honestly say that it was the best present i received last year.

The recipes are easy to follow, nothing fancy or too complicated and the pictures look vary natural as if the food has been cooked in your own kitchen, over all this is a feel-good book. This book makes you believe you can cook too.

Grow your own Veg

I love gardening but unfortunately I have never had the chance to grow my own veg, holding down a full time job and part time study has not yet given me enough time to get my hands dirty! However I am a big fan of Carol Klein’s television programme so I bought the book hoping that I would be able to grow my own veg at some point. It has very good information about common and all year around vegetables.
